Food Security and Livelihood

At UMR, we use our agile resources and staffing to target our efforts in the regions where there has been least progress to end world hunger. These regions are often remote, rural, and/or chronically vulnerable by effect of conflict or natural disaster.

Food Security & Livelihoods

UMR’s integrated food and livelihood programs tackle both immediate hunger and long-term poverty. We combine emergency food assistance with nutrition interventions, sustainable farming, and economic empowerment to help communities recover and thrive.

Emergency Food Assistance

UMR distributes food baskets and cooked meals to families in crisis across Gaza, Sudan, Yemen, Jordan, Somalia, and Bangladesh. We coordinate with local partners and national food clusters to ensure alignment with global standards and local needs. Ramadan and winter campaigns bring communities together around dignity and nourishment.
