As winter casts a blanket of frost over many regions, it reminds us that although it is a time of warmth, happiness, and joyous celebration for some, the reality is starkly different for people in afflicted countries like Pakistan, Yemen, Morocco, Lebanon & Jordan Families in these regions are already facing unforgiving circumstances without enough resources to survive. In their corridors of hardship, the unforgiving weather condition torments their lives even further. In response to their evident need for help, the United Mission for Relief & Development (UMR) offers hope through its Winter Campaign for 2023. Morocco's Earthquake Aftermath
Morocco, still reeling from the aftermath of a devastating earthquake, is one of the focused countries of UMR’s endearing support. Over 2,900 lives and 300,000 people were directly affected by the earthquake. And UMR is one of the first nonprofits to respond to the earthquake in Morocco. With UMR, they got immediate relief along with long-term medical support. In villages like Tinmel, where entire communities were left homeless, by supporting UMR’s Winter Kits initiative, you can help them with winter essentials.

As winter wraps its chilly arms around those in need, UMR steps in, giving a warm embrace on the coldest night. In our mission to cater to the diverse needs of those weathering national crises, UMR ensures that every individual receives specific aid meeting their unique requirements. Here’s how we’re weaving warmth for everyone in need.
UMR’s Winter Relief Campaign begins a heartwarming initiative for children by distributing winter coats. If you want these children, regardless of circumstance, to be dressed in brand-new winter coats, UMR is the organization to collaborate with. This way, we get to keep the cold at bay and care for the young hearth and keep them in a cocoon of protection.
We understand that winter attire means more than just clothing. UMR takes another compassionate spin by offering jackets, sweaters, scarves, gloves, raincoats, and hats. This is one of the ways we can address all the needs of the devasted families and ensure their overall well-being.
In the freezing grasp of winter, UMR is also distributing heaters—sending warm hugs to their homes. To help them fight the winter bite, UMR provides them with diesel or kerosene heaters that deliver warmth. Other than providing comfort, this initiative aims to prevent cold-related illnesses, a prevalent risk in communities facing harsh winter conditions.
