Starving 4 Sudan: Providing Hot Meals To The People of Sudan
SUDAN NEEDS US: PROVIDE HOT MEALS NOW
WHAT WE ARE DOING AND WHY IT CANNOT WAIT!
Right now, Jae Deen, fellow influencers and SpotNoor are doing a prolonged water fast, meaning eating nothing but drinking water for the next 7 days. Jae Deen and a few others have pledged to not stop fasting until we reach $100,000. That could mean beyond 7 days.
Not for a trend.
Not for attention.
But as an act of solidarity with millions of people in Sudan who have no choice but to starve.
They are water fasting alongside the UMR team and hundreds of compassionate supporters, choosing hunger so that others might eat. Every meal skipped is money redirected to hot meals for families who haven’t eaten in days, sometimes weeks.
This fast is not symbolic.
It is personal.
And it is urgent.
This fast is a powerful act of solidarity with the people of Sudan, where millions of men, women, and children are facing extreme hunger due to ongoing conflict and displacement. For the duration of this fast, we are choosing to forgo food and redirect the money we would normally spend on meals toward providing hot meals.
By supporting this cause, you are standing with the people of Sudan and helping transform hunger into relief and despair into hope. Together, we can make a meaningful difference—one meal, one family, one life at a time.
WHY SUDAN NEEDS US RIGHT NOW!
Sudan is facing one of the world’s worst humanitarian emergencies. Since violence erupted in April 2023, millions have been displaced, tens of thousands killed, and over half the population now suffers from severe hunger.
Since April 2023:
• Millions have been violently displaced
• Tens of thousands have been killed
• More than half the population is facing extreme hunger
In Darfur, entire communities are being wiped out. Hospitals have been bombed. Doctors kidnapped. Children are wasting away from malnutrition while families are cut off from food, medicine, and safety.
This is not a future threat.
This is happening today.
WHAT YOUR SUPPORT MAKES POSSIBLE
UMR is on the ground, responding where help is most desperately needed:
• Delivering hot meals to starving families
• Providing medical supplies and treatment to overwhelmed hospitals
• Supporting refugees who have fled Sudan and are now struggling to survive in Egypt
Your donation does not sit in an account. It becomes food in a child’s hands. Medicine in a hospital. Hope where there was none.
One meal can mean the difference between strength and collapse. One donation can mean the difference between life and death.
THIS IS MORE THAN A DONATION, IT IS SADAQAH!
Every contribution, no matter the size, reaches people in dire need.
And every act of giving is a form of sadaqah, carrying barakah for both the giver and the receiver.
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ reminded us that even the smallest act of charity weighs heavily on the scales of goodness.
You may feel small in the face of such a massive crisis but your action is not small to the person who eats because of you.
THIS IS YOUR MOMENT TO STEP IN!
Right now, Sudanese families are asking a simple question:
Will anyone help us survive?
By donating, sharing, or getting involved, you are answering that question with yes.
Provide a meal.
Support a refugee.
Stand with Sudan.
